Moving & Storage Insurance

RLI Moving & Storage Insurance provides property and liability coverage for personal and business relocation services and select ancillary services. Coverage includes auto liability, physical damage, property, cargo/warehouse legal liability and general liability/crime.

• Available to appointed retail agents only
• Not available to insureds domiciled in Massachusetts, Alaska or Hawaii. Units garaged in these states are acceptable so long as the primary domicile is located elsewhere.

Coverage & Features

Auto Liability

• $1 million standard limits with higher limits available
• Deductibles start at $2,500, up to $500,000 at underwriter discretion

Physical Damage

• Coverage available for all unit types, with deductibles starting at $2,500
• Hired/non-owned physical damage, trailer interchange and towing available

Property

• Building, contents, business income, extra expense coverage are all available under the program with deductibles starting at $2,500.
• Flood and quake are excluded
• Cosmetic roof damage exclusion endorsement attached to all policies as allowed by the state in which the insured is located

Cargo/Warehouse Legal Liability

• Cargo coverage available up to $500,000 / $1 million
• Higher limits available with underwriter approval
• Warehouse legal available for storage of most types of goods under a warehouse receipt or other descriptive contract
• No maximum limit

General Liability/Crime

• General Liability: $1 million per occurrence, $2 million aggregate
• $100,000 fire damage
• $5,000 medical expense
• Crime: $25,000 base limits; additional options available
