Contrac Pac® - QuickWrite Program

The QuickWrite program was introduced in 1995 and is designed to meet the needs of small to medium-sized artisans and general contractors, specializing in residential and light commercial projects. With more than 25 years in the marketplace, our strength and stability sets us apart!

We offer streamlined processing with an intuitive online agents portal and contractor-specific applications. Our online solutions make working with us easy so you can focus on quickly getting your customers the coverage they need. Our experienced underwriters are responsive and available to provide prompt support.

Available Coverages

• General Liability: Limits up to $1,000,000/$2,000,000
• Damage to Premises Rented to You limit included at $300,000
• Contractors Limited Liability Enhancement, providing coverage extensions including cost to repair property due to incorrect work and lost key coverage, as well as a suite of value-added enhancements
• Blanket Additional Insured options including primary, non-contributory wording, and waiver of subrogation
• Other Additional Insured endorsements available including completed operations
• Business Personal Property
• Inland Marine coverage including contractors tools and equipment, installation floater, miscellaneous tools and computer equipment

Program Eligibility:

Following is an overview of the QuickWrite program eligibility. More in depth descriptions by classification are provided in the online quote process. 

General Contractors

• Annual gross receipts of $4 million or less
• Insured owners must be active in day-to-day operations, on jobsites daily and have direct supervision over subcontractors
• New construction work on residential and commercial projects is acceptable, excluding condo, townhome, rowhouse and co-op projects of any size
• No more than five new residential projects per policy period in a tract, subdivision or development
• Residential or commercial property remodeling
• New ventures are eligible with a minimum of three years’ construction experience

Ineligible GC Contractors

• Construction consultants / construction management for a fee
• Developers or design build firms
• Paper contractors; not actively managing job sites and labor
• House flippers
• Architects, engineers or real estate agents
• Restoration or insurance mitigation

Artisan Trade Contractors

• Annual gross receipts of up to $3 million
• More than 30 classifications including Concrete, Painting, Electrical, HVAC, Tile, Janitorial and Landscaping
• No more than 15 new residential projects per policy period in a tract, subdivision or development
• New ventures eligible with a minimum of three years of construction experience (Plumbers require 3 years in business.)

Ineligible Artisans:

• Carpet or upholstery cleaning
• Door / window installation or repair
• Environmental clean up
• Excavation / grading of land
• Framing, siding or roofing contractors
• Pressure washing
• Swimming pool installation or servicing
